Other Fees and Residency Definitions

Some courses may have additional fees attached due to use of laboratory, special supplies, or rooms. These fees will be assessed when the student enrolls in the course. (Examples include Nursing Program, Student Teaching, Music lessons, Communication Disorders, Psychology, etc.)

Residency Definitions:
Contiguous: Students residing in the following province or state: Manitoba, Montana, Saskatchewan, & South Dakota.
Nonresident: Students not listed in any other province or state.
Minnesota: Students from Minnesota who have been accepted under the reciprocity agreement. Students must apply for reciprocity, which takes approximately 4-6 weeks.
MSEP: Students residing in the following states:  Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, or Wisconsin. {Midwest Student Exchange Program, or MSEP, is a multi-state tuition reciprocity program. Through the MSEP, public institutions agree to charge students no more than 150% of the in-state resident tuition rate for specific programs; private institutions offer a 10% reduction on their tuition rates. All enrollment decisions are made at the discretion of the receiving campus and the campus may exercise its right to limit participation or set specific admission requirements for MSEP.}
WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange)/WRGP (Western Regional Graduate Program): Students who have proven they are residents of the following states shall pay a tuition rate of 150% of the resident tuition plus college, technology and connect ND fee (also visit their web site): www.wiche.edu/wue Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
