
Holiday music and theatre takes center stage at MSU
The Heritage Singers men’s chorus, the Voices of Note women’s chorus, area high school students and MSU Concert Choir will combine to present Handel’s "Messiah" Sunday (Dec. 2) at 4 p.m. in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall. They will be directed by Mark Schnabel. Admission is by free-will offering and proceeds of the event are directed to the John Strohm Music Scholarship Fund.
A Christmas Concert will be performed by the MSU Concert Band and Choir in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall, located in Old Main on Tuesday (Dec. 4) at 7:30 p.m. The program will feature MSU students performing a variety of Christmas and holiday musical favorites. There is no charge for admission and the public is invited to attend.
The MSU Campus Players production of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" will run Dec. 6-8 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 9 at 2 p.m., in Aleshire Theater. Campus Players is also sponsoring a food drive for Community Action Opportunities. Individuals attending this play, if they wish, can donate nonperishable canned goods. Tickets are $6. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling 858-3172.
